New Hair for New Beginnings!

So I got my hair done yesterday by one of my childhood friends, Hannah. She did such a great job and I am obsessed. Since my hair is naturally strawberry blond, I like to keep the integrity of my natural color, but definitely don’t mind spicing it up a bit with some highlights or fun layers! I ended up going with a slightly cool-toned balayage to contrast my very warm hair color. (LOL you can’t get much warmer than orange.) I also got side bangs again and tons of layers. I am loving it and it will be so fun for summer!

As for my outfit, I am wearing this fun top from TJ Maxx and a pair of Free People bell bottoms. I can’t find the exact pair, but I am going to link some pieces that are very similar.

Spring Hair, Don’t Care

img_6909.jpg
I am so in love with this product. I received the Not Your Mother’s All Eyes on Me 10in1 Hair Protector to review and I am so glad I did! It retails for $7, so you really can’t beat that price point!

For a little background, I have very (emphasis on the very) thick hair. It’s coarse and holds any curl. Every hairdresser I have been to describes my hair as water-resistant. Cool, right? LOL. The bottom half of my head of hair is extremely curly, while the top half is just wavy-ish. Because my hair is coarse, I have a hard time finding products I like that don’t make it feel greasy. So, when I am looking for this leave-in type of product, non-greasy, touchable feel is the number one factor I seek.

I was a little worried I wouldn’t like this one because it is a “cream” spray, but I think it is great after using it after two washes! So first, I started with clean, damp hair. I sprayed 3-4 times on the bottom half of my head and then brushed it through. After that, I sprayed some into my hands and scrunched it on the ends of my hair. Letting that set, I did my makeup so my hair could air dry a bit.  Afterwards, I ran my hairdryer through it on a low setting just to get all of the excess moisture out. My hair is fairly curly, so I could have left it like this, but I took my curling wand and curled a few top pieces to make it a little more put together! I love how this came out and will definitely be using this product as the weather warms up!

I guess, too, I should mention this smells like the beach in a bottle!! Definitely go out and grab this, you won’t regret it!

So a few weeks ago I almost bought this same shampoo + conditioner set online for triple the price!!! I hit the jackpot at Marshall’s today and snagged the Amika Keep Your Color Shampoo and Conditioner in 12 oz. bottles!! The scent is Sea Buckthorn Berry and smells super fresh and girly. I am super excited to try these out! My hair is not colored, but I love to use shampoo and conditioner for colored hair to keep my natural highlights vibrant and cool-toned! Go run by your local TJ Maxx or Marshall’s and maybe you’ll find some, too!
